After treating the world to Swervvvvv.5, IAMDDB returns with the drop of her latest single, Famous. The winter warmer comes wrapped with her announcement of a bumper 2020 European tour, acting as a pre-Christmas care package for fans.
With 23 shows announced across February and March, IAMDDB’s journey through Europe will bring the wave to the O2 Academy Brixton on Monday the 2nd of March. Tickets go on sale from Friday 13th of December and can be found here.
IAMDDB exploded into the eye-lines of many with the anthemic Shade in 2017, having since pushed her standards and diversified her oeuvre. The 0161 artist’s abilities to not only weave wavy hooks – but also to spit nimble flows and sing soulfully – make her a force as MC and vocalist alike. Famous is a glowing example of this duality, as she continues to conquer Trap, Neo Soul, Jazz and Hip-Hop. Though she’s toying with the genres, don’t get it twisted: this artist isn’t playing.
A heater of sorts, Famous merges relentlessly catchy vocals with tropical overtones in production, courtesy of Ill Blu. Also in the care package is the hugely exciting announcement of a debut album in 2020.
A real statement of intent, 2020 promises to be a big year in the career of Diana De Brito.
