“There are fucking rules in this shit.” Drake bares all on his beef with Pusha T.

Speaking on 2018’s clash of Rap royalty, Drake has claimed that this year’s high-profile beef with Pusha T was the result of “one hell of a chess move” from GOOD Music founder Kanye West. The exclusive insight broke last week on LeBron James and Maverick Carter’s new candid chat show ‘The Shop’, which aired on HBO Sports.

Speaking in-depth to ‘Bron on Pusha T’s ‘The Story of Adidon’ diss track, Drizzy states that Kanye asked for more details about his album ‘Scorpion’, which was yet to be released. The story then follows that Drizzy did indeed tell Ye about his new material, even sharing more intimate details about his son, Adonis, and the troubles he was experiencing with the child’s mother. Recounting that the move “was a manipulative ‘I wanna break you’ thing”, Drake lambasts Yeezy for sharing his secrets with Pusha T, who used the information to send for him. Adding insult to injury, the diss was aired on a beat produced by Yeezy himself, thus testifying to a double abuse of trust.

In honest and open conversation, the 6 God says that even in beef there are certain rules of etiquette that Pusha T and Kanye failed to uphold:

“There are fucking rules in this shit… I knew something was gonna come up about my kid, I understand that. But imma tell you: wishing death on my friend who has MS? It’s over. Someone’s gonna fucking punch you in the fucking face. I don’t wanna further your career by rapping back to you and having this exchange.”

Drake then confesses to recording a venomous diss in response to Push, but says that he shelved the track last-minute because it wasn’t “something [he ever wanted to be] remembered for”.

Every cloud has a silver lining. Drizzy claims that he channeled his anger into more material for ‘Scorpion’. Apparently, this resulted in the creation of ‘Nonstop’, ‘Mob Ties’, ‘8 out of 10’ and his summer smash ‘In My Feelings’. If this is true, who do you think came out on top in this beef?
